Scope
This policy applies to the Vén Wallet iPhone app and venwallet.app. If you use an Apple service or a market-data provider, that provider's policy also applies to its part of the service.
Data we do not collect
We do not operate a Vén Wallet account system and do not collect your transactions, budgets, balances, receipt photos, investments, or PIN.
The website and app have no ads and use no third-party tools to track behavior or report crashes.
When the app uses the internet
Market prices: when you open Investments, the app sends a stock or cryptocurrency symbol to a price provider. The request does not include your name, email, records, or balance.
Exchange rates: the app sends the two currency codes needed for a conversion to the exchange-rate provider.
iCloud: sync is off by default. When you turn it on, data is stored in the iCloud area tied to your Apple ID and does not pass through a Vén Wallet server.
Receipt photos
Receipt text is read on your device using Apple technology. Photos are not sent to us and are not included in iCloud sync. A photo leaves the device only when you choose to create and move a backup.
Device permissions
Camera access is used to photograph receipts. Face ID unlocks the app. Notifications cover tracking reminders, budget limits, bills, and changes to a shared budget.
Every permission is optional and can be changed in iOS Settings.
Website and language selection
When you visit the main page, Cloudflare gives the website a country code inferred from your IP address. This lets the site show Vietnamese in Vietnam and English elsewhere. Vén Wallet does not save the IP address or country code in a database.
If you change the language, the website uses a small essential cookie named ven_locale to remember your choice. Your light or dark appearance choice is also stored only in your browser. The website uses no advertising or visitor-tracking cookies.
Retention and deletion
Because we do not receive your financial data, there is no server copy for us to retain or delete. You can remove local data inside the app or by deleting the app.
Synced data belongs to your iCloud area and is managed through your Apple account. Vén Wallet cannot read or recover it for you.
Children
Vén Wallet is not directed to children below the age at which they may manage their own account under local law, and we do not knowingly collect children's data.
Policy changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Material changes may also be noted in the app or on this website.
